Your family Dentist
Root Canal Treatment
When decay reaches the nerve, root canal treatment cleans the inside of the tooth and saves it, often in one sitting where suitable.
Toothache
In pain? Call us. We try to see pain patients the same day during clinic hours and explain the cause and options.
Gum Treatment
Bleeding gums are an early sign of gum disease. Cleaning and care help, especially if you have diabetes.
Crowns & Bridges
A crown protects a weak or root-canal-treated tooth; a bridge replaces a missing one.
Dentures
We make complete and partial dentures and explain fixed options where suitable, so you can choose what fits your needs and budget.
Dental Implants
A dental implant is a small titanium post placed in the jawbone to replace the root of a missing tooth, with a crown fixed on top. We first check your bone, gums and general health, and explain the options and cost before you decide.

Dentistry explained in plain words
I am Dr. Sakina H. Talwari, BDS, MSc (Psychology). I completed my BDS in 2016 from DAVV, Indore. and have practised in Nashik since 2016, first under a senior dentist and then at my own clinic in Dwarka.
My training in psychology shapes how I work. Before treating you, I listen to what is worrying you and ask about your general health: diabetes, blood pressure, thyroid, pregnancy and medicines. I show you your own X-ray so you understand what is happening. Then we choose the treatment together, with the cost explained in writing first.
Frequently Asked
Questions
1. Can I whiten my teeth at home?
Home products can lighten surface stains slightly, but they don’t treat decay, gum problems or deep stains, and overuse can make teeth sensitive. Get a check-up first and we’ll tell you whether whitening suits you.
2. Does bad breath always mean poor oral hygiene?
Not always. Long-lasting bad breath can come from gum disease, decay, dry mouth, some medicines or certain medical conditions. A check-up helps find the cause.
3. What are the signs of a wisdom tooth problem?
Pain, swelling of the gum behind the last tooth, difficulty opening the mouth or chewing, or bad breath can mean a wisdom tooth problem. An X-ray shows the tooth’s position, so get it checked early.
4. Is it safe to use charcoal toothpaste, and does it really work?
While generally safe, charcoal can be abrasive and may not be suitable for sensitive teeth. Research suggests limited whitening benefits compared to other options. Consult me for personalized advice.
5. How much does a dental implant cost in Nashik?
Our fee for a single implant with its crown ranges from ₹35000/- to ₹55000/-, depending on the implant system, bone condition and whether bone grafting is needed. You get a written estimate before treatment. Consultation fee: ₹200/-.
6. Can a toothache be cured with medicines alone?
Usually not. Painkillers can reduce pain for a while, and antibiotics help only in some infections that are spreading. But neither removes the decay or the infected nerve inside the tooth, so the pain often comes back. A 2019 Cochrane review on antibiotics for this kind of toothache (irreversible pulpitis) found only one small trial of 40 people. It concluded there is not enough evidence to show antibiotics reduce the pain. The cause has to be treated in the tooth, with a filling, root canal treatment or, sometimes, removal.
7. Can root canal treatment be done in one sitting?
Often, yes. For many teeth we complete it in one visit using rotary instruments. Some teeth, especially with heavy infection or swelling, are better done in two or more visits. A 2016 Cochrane review of 25 trials (3,780 people) found single-visit and multiple-visit treatment worked about equally well. We tell you after the X-ray which suits your tooth.
8. Is dental treatment safe during pregnancy?
Yes. Check-ups, cleaning, needed X-rays with protection, local anaesthesia and needed treatment are considered safe in pregnancy. Planned (non-urgent) treatment is usually most comfortable in the second trimester (months 4–6). A tooth infection should not be left untreated at any stage. Tell us how many weeks pregnant you are and which medicines you take.
9. Does diabetes affect my gums?
Yes, it works both ways. Diabetes raises the risk of gum disease, and untreated gum disease can make blood sugar harder to control. Treating gum disease can help your sugar control a little. Tell us your latest sugar report (HbA1c) and medicines.
10. Does teeth cleaning (scaling) loosen teeth?
No. Scaling removes hard tartar. Sometimes a tooth that was already loosened by gum disease was being held by the tartar, so it feels loose afterwards, but the cleaning did not cause it. The gums usually tighten as they heal. Leaving tartar is what loosens teeth over time.
